Amnesty International in Aalborg is looking for English speaking volunteers.
Amnesty International is a global movement of more than 3 million supporters, members and activists in more than 150 countries and territories who campaign to end severe abuses of human rights. It is a non-profit organization which works to mobilize public opinion to put pressure on governments that let abuse take place. Amnesty International is largely made up of voluntary members and you can help make a difference by becoming a member or supporter of Amnesty International. You donâ??t have to be an experienced activist. All you need to be is interested in campaigning for human rights!

Are you interested in human rights and would like to devote some of your time to our activities, contact us today! You can choose your tasks based on your interests and skills, and spend time with interesting people from different parts of the world.

Concert with Amnesty International – Unity in diversity
Amnesty Aalborg is planning a concert which will focus on diversity, and our rights as humans to be different. Amnesty is, therefore, arranging an evening where we can celebrate, that even though we are different, we all have the same rights as human beings.
The program:
The concert will be held at Skråen, Nordkraft, in their rooms above the great hall.
The final date has, as of now, not yet been decided as it depends on the work process, and the number of volunteers.
The entertainment for the evening will consist of 3 amateur bands that will volunteer to provide both the music and the atmosphere, while the bar will provide the refreshments.
At the concert you will be able to find information and material on the many campaigns which Amnesty employs within the subject of discrimination. Apart from that, there will be many opportunities for those interested in supporting Amnesty and the work it does.
However, to make this happen, we need volunteers who are ready to help in the following areas:
�                   Administration
�                   Advertisement
�                   Planning/scheduling of bands
�                   Volunteers on the evening
